We are remembering our late founder, Nancy Ferrell, who unexpectedly passed away in May 2025.

Nancy began this rescue  with just a few dogs and a dream to create a safe space for animals in need. What started small quickly became a lifeline for countless dogs, thanks to her unwavering dedication, compassion, and tireless work.

There wasn’t a single dog Nancy wouldn’t drop everything for. She poured her heart and soul into rescue while sacrificing personal time, sleep, and comfort to transport dogs, rush them to emergency vet visits, cover last-minute shifts, and ensure every animal had a chance at a better life.

Nancy’s impact went far beyond our local community. She forged strong partnerships with out-of-state rescue organizations to help dogs in high-kill shelters and in critical condition, showing that her love and care knew no borders.

While her absence leaves a void we can never fill, we will carry her mission forward with the same fierce love and determination she modeled every day.

Rest in peace, Nancy. We know you crossed into heaven, where the Rainbow Bridge awaits. And there, with wagging tails and joyful hearts all the animals you loved and lost came running to greet you. Each one a soul you cherished and now reunited.

You were one of a kind and your legacy will live on in every wagging tail and every second chance.
